Caren McCaleb

 

Caren McCaleb is an award winning documentary editor and has had work shown on PBS, A&E, Huffington Post, at Sundance, AFIFest, and the Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films.


Recent work includes editing short films for Disney, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, SCORE, LAUSD, the Leakey Foundation, Blind Children’s Center, the World Festival of Music, Raiford Rogers Modern Ballet, Simon and Schuster and Little Brown and Company. 


She co-founded Bitcho Maria with choreographer Ana Baer in 2008.  Bitcho Maria produces beautiful cutting edge dance videos that have screened internationally.


She is currently producing and directing a short documentary about one LAUSD elementary school's bold attempt to improve creative thinking through project based learning.


Caren is a graduate of Cornell University and lives and works in Los Angeles.
